We have received an e-mail from Nora Shufflebottom from Stoke
Aldermoor about the recent suggestion that Coventry City should fans
boycott the refreshment kiosks at the Ricoh Arena. Here she explains
the reasons for her anger.
Dear West Terrace,
I've been a supporter of Coventry City all my life and have followed
them through thick and thin. Whether at Highfield Road or the Ricoh
Arena it's always been a part of my match day experience, you can't
beat a "pie and a pint" while cheering on the Sky Blues!
The reason that
non of the profits go to Coventry City Football Club is because
Coventry City Football Club sold their rights to any share of the
profits. They must have known what they were doing when they signed
the contract. There is no point moaning about it now and these
mindless idiots who think it will achieve something or want to make
a point are thinking balti pie in the sky. Why should we not enjoy a
nice hot pie on match days, followed by a pint and maybe a Kit Kit?
I've contacted
the vendors directly and also suggested that it might be profitable
for them to sell Popcorn too. I'd certainly buy a box or two, and
fudge, I love fudge!
