Coventry City have
announced they will play Italian side Juventus in a pre season friendly
at the Ricoh on Tuesday 31st July as part of their pre season tour of
England planning to take on four English Clubs. Sunderland has already
been announced as one of the other Clubs.
The most successful
team in Italy, Juventus found itself in the middle of the match fixing
scandal which brought shame to the Italian league. They were thrown out
of Serie A and stripped of their two last title wins. Playing in Serie B
for the first time in their history last season they were promoted back
to Serie A this year.
